Born from our Perth cafe’s Vinyl Sessions and Saturday house music ritual, The Coffee Run now has a home in Canggu.
We’ve built the stage, installed the custom blue sound system, and locked in the first DJ roster.

OUR STORY
Micrology Coffee Roasters started on the West Coast of Australia.
In 2013, we began small-batch roasting specialty coffee in Perth, Boorloo, with a quiet, stubborn belief that things could be done differently. Maybe even better.
We had no glossy business plan. Just a simple mission:
Raise the expectations of local coffee drinkers through an uncompromising focus on quality and service.
We find beautiful coffees, respect the hands that produce them, roast with care, and share them with as many people as we can. It’s not complicated. That’s kind of the point.
Over a decade later, this is still the game plan.
Why Bali?
Bali wasn't a reach. It felt more like a calling...
We felt the pull of this island long before we started drawing plans.
Our founder, Daniel Ash grew up in Perth. His Indonesian heritage meant he would often visit Bali. Now, it's the place he takes his own family, so in many ways, Bali has always felt like a second home to Dan.
In 2020, when global supply challenges pushed us to source coffee closer to home, we found a silver lining in the chaos.
Indonesia, our closest international neighbour, happens to be one of the world’s most exciting and rapidly evolving coffee producing countries.
And then there's Canggu...
A place with its own kind of momentum. People from all over the world come here chasing something. Food, movement, culture, rest, creativity, art, connection, or just a really good coffee before the beach.
Our Canggu venue is here to be part of that rhythm.
An inclusive space where locals, travellers, creatives, coffee people, and curious people can naturally meet. A place to slow down, connect, and enjoy one of life’s simplest pleasures.
