Coffee & Consumables

Our coffee is freshly roasted to order, ensuring optimal flavour and quality. Because of this, we cannot resell or reuse returned beans, and we are unable to accept returns or exchanges on coffee or consumable products for change-of-mind reasons. We recommend double-checking your grind size, quantity and delivery details before placing your order to make sure you get exactly what you need.

This does not affect your rights under Australian Consumer Law if an item is faulty, damaged, incorrect, unsafe or does not meet consumer guarantees.

Non-Perishable Items

For non-consumable items, such as brewing gear, accessories or merchandise, we happily accept returns or exchanges where:

The item is unused and in its original condition.

The item is returned within 14 days of purchase or delivery.

Proof of purchase is provided.

Change-of-Mind Returns

We understand things change!

While we cannot accept change-of-mind returns on coffee, consumables or perishable products, we’re happy to discuss an exchange or store credit for non-perishable items, provided the item meets the return conditions above.

Return postage for change of mind returns is at the customer’s expense.

Refunds, Exchanges & Store Credit

Once your return is received and approved, you may choose:

A refund to your original payment method.

An exchange for a replacement item.

Store credit for a future purchase.

Refunds are processed back to the original payment method where possible. Processing times may vary depending on your bank or payment provider.

Sale Items

Some sale, discounted or promotional items may not be eligible for returns, exchanges or store credit.

Where this applies, we aim to make it as clear as possible at the time of purchase or within the promotion terms.

This does not affect your rights under Australian Consumer Law if an item is faulty, damaged, incorrect or does not meet consumer guarantees.

Faulty, Damaged or Incorrect Items

If your order arrives damaged, faulty, incorrect or not as expected, please contact us as soon as possible, ideally within 14 days of receiving your order, at orders@micrology.com.au.

Please include:

Your order number.

A description of the issue.

Photos of the item, packaging or damage where relevant.We’ll review the issue and help arrange a suitable solution, which may include a replacement, refund, repair or store credit depending on the situation.

Contacting us quickly helps us review the issue and resolve it as smoothly as possible.

Australian Consumer Law

Your rights are important. Nothing in this policy limits your entitlements under the Australian Consumer Law.

If an item is faulty or does not meet consumer guarantees, you may be entitled to a repair, replacement or refund.

General Offer Terms

From time to time, Micrology may run discounts, promotions, rewards, sale events, bundle offers, free shipping offers, limited-time campaigns, referral offers or other special deals.

Unless stated otherwise, all offers are:

Valid only during the advertised promotion period.

Subject to availability while stocks last.

Available only on eligible products, collections, locations or channels.

Not redeemable for cash, credit or gift cards.

Not valid on previous purchases.

Not transferable unless clearly stated.

Subject to any additional terms listed in the relevant email, SMS, ad, landing page, product page, checkout or promotion material.

Micrology may amend, pause or withdraw an offer where there is a genuine error, technical issue, stock limitation, misuse, suspected fraud or circumstances outside our control.

Discount Codes

Discount codes must be entered at checkout to apply.Unless clearly stated otherwise:

Only one discount code can be used per order.

Discount codes cannot be stacked or combined with other offers.

Discount codes cannot be applied retrospectively after an order is placed.

Discount codes may exclude sale items, subscriptions, bundles, limited releases, gift cards, wholesale orders, event tickets, shipping fees or selected products and collections. For example, discounts may not apply to selected Single Origin coffee beans due to high production costs.

Discount codes may have a minimum spend requirement.

Discount codes may have usage limits, expiry dates or customer eligibility rules.

Discount codes may be single-use or limited to selected customers.

If a discount code does not apply at checkout, it may be because the order, customer, product or cart does not meet the promotion conditions. If you believe there is an error with a discount code, please contact us at orders@micrology.com.au.

Automatic Discounts

Some offers may apply automatically at checkout.

Automatic discounts may override, prevent or block the use of other discount codes, rewards, referral offers or promotional offers.

Where an automatic discount is active, customers may not be able to apply an additional discount code unless the promotion clearly states otherwise.

Promotion Errors

We do our best to ensure all pricing, discount and promotional information is accurate. However, errors can

occasionally occur.

Micrology reserves the right to correct obvious pricing errors, product display errors, discount errors or technical

issues, including after an order has been placed.

Where this happens, we’ll contact you with the available options.

Gift Cards

Gift cards may be available for purchase through Micrology.

Unless stated otherwise:

Gift cards are not redeemable for cash.

Gift cards cannot be used to purchase other gift cards.

Gift cards should be treated like cash.

Lost, stolen or misused gift cards may not be replaced.Gift cards are valid for at least 3 years from the issue date, unless a different period is permitted by law and clearly stated at the time of purchase.

Gift cards are valid only for the channels stated at the time of purchase.

Gift cards purchased online may only be redeemed online, not in the Micrology cafe.

Store Credit

Store credit may be issued in some circumstances, including approved returns, exchanges, customer service resolutions or promotional offers.

Unless stated otherwise: Store credit is not redeemable for cash. Store credit may only be used by the customer or account it was issued to. Store credit may not be transferable. Store credit may not be able to be combined with other discounts, rewards or promotions. Promotional store credit must be used within 30 days of issue, unless otherwise stated. Store credit issued for returns, exchanges or customer service resolutions may have separate terms, which will be provided at the time of issue.

Vouchers

Promotional vouchers may be issued from time to time as part of customer service, rewards, events, collaborations or campaigns. Voucher terms may vary depending on the offer and may include expiry dates, minimum spends, product exclusions or channel restrictions.

Micrology Rewards

Micrology Rewards allows members to earn points and redeem rewards when shopping with us. Our current program offers 1 point for every $1 spent, 100 points can be redeemed for $10. To find out more ways to earn points, see our Rewards Page. Points are earned on eligible product purchases only and are not earned on shipping fees, gift cards, wholesale orders, refunded orders or excluded products unless stated otherwise.

Earning Points

Rewards points may be earned through eligible purchases and selected actions listed in the Micrology Rewards program. To be eligible for earning points, customers must have an account with the Micrology rewards program via Yotpo Loyalty. Points may take time to appear in your account. Points may be adjusted, cancelled or removed if an order is cancelled, refunded, partially refunded, returned or suspected of misuse. Micrology reserves the right to exclude selected products, orders, customers or promotions from earning points. Points are awarded once an order is fulfilled.

Redeeming Points

Rewards can be redeemed through the Micrology Rewards page or checkout where available.

Unless clearly stated otherwise:

Rewards cannot be exchanged for cash.

Rewards cannot be transferred between accounts.

Rewards cannot be applied to previous purchases.

Rewards cannot be combined with other discount codes, sale offers, automatic discounts, referral offers or subscription discounts.

Rewards may be subject to minimum spend requirements.

Rewards may exclude selected products, collections, gift cards, subscriptions, wholesale orders, bundles, limited releases or shipping fees.

If an order using a reward is refunded, cancelled or returned, the reward may not be reissued unless required or approved by Micrology.

Birthday Rewards

Birthday rewards are available to eligible Micrology Rewards members as long as this detail is provided within your account.

Birthday rewards are limited to one per customer per year, expire 30 days after issue, and may be subject to account eligibility and other program rules.

Punch Card Rewards

Punch Card rewards may be issued where customers meet the relevant purchase & activity requirements: Place 3 separate orders with Micrology’s online store over $50AUD, excluding shipping fees. Punch Card rewards are subject to the rules displayed in the Micrology Rewards program and may be changed, paused or removed at any time.

Referral Offers

If Micrology offers referral rewards, they are intended for genuine referrals to new customers only. Customers may gift a friend $10 off their first order. If and when this code is redeemed, the referring customer will receive a $10 credit also.

Referral offers are only valid on orders over $55AUD. Referral rewards may not be used for self-referrals, duplicate accounts, fake accounts, fraudulent behaviour or other misuse. Micrology may cancel, remove or refuse referral rewards where we believe the offer has been misused.

Program Changes

Micrology may update, pause, change or end the Rewards Program at any time. Where practical, we’ll aim to provide reasonable notice of major changes. Points, rewards and redemption options may change over time.
